Description
Explanation:
The CAD model features two connections, with the cable connection jumping from one weighing sensor to another. It does not require a junction box, making it easy to replace in case of failure.
The CAD weighing sensor is based on the shear force principle to measure forces in the compression direction. It was developed for use in large-capacity electronic force and weight measurement applications in industrial environments. Thanks to its robust and flawless design, it offers high resistance to lateral forces and overload conditions.
Its stainless steel body is corrosion-resistant. The CAD sensor is suitable for heavy industrial conditions and chemical environments. It finds applications in high-capacity vehicle scales, platform scales, tank weighing systems, and process weighing applications.
Compared to other digital weighing sensors, the main advantage of the CAD sensor is its built-in electronic inclinometer. This feature alerts the technician with colored LEDs for correct mounting during installation.
The primary issue in truck scales is lateral forces, platform elongation due to thermal expansion from temperature differences between summer and winter, and platform deformation due to load distribution, all of which lead to measurement errors. In both cases, sensors placed perpendicularly to the ground become misaligned, causing measurement errors. Thanks to Esit’s patented angle compensation technology, the vertical deflection angle of the weighing sensor is detected to ensure accurate weight measurement.
The CAD weighing sensor is 80% more resistant to lateral forces than other sensors operating with the column-type principle. In particular, the main cause of sensor malfunction is the lateral forces created by vehicle movements during sudden braking and acceleration.
